Rubye Troxell Thomas' Obituary
Rubye Troxell Thomas, 92 of Stevenson, AL, was born March 11, 1925. She departed this life June 23, 2017. She was preceded in death by: husband of 44 years Russell Thomas; parents Charley and Mary Troxell; step-son John Walter Riddle Thomas.
She is survived by a son Wendell Thomas and his wife Carolyn; step-son Jere Ben Thomas; step-daughter-in-law Beth Thomas and sister Bettye Jackson. Also, nine grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and a host of students whom she called "My Boys and Girls".
Visitation will be Sunday from noon till 9:00 PM at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. Visitation will also be Monday, June 26, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM with the Funeral Service beginning at 2:00 PM in the Rudder Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be by Bro. Dale Andrews, The Honorable John Graham and Bro. Barry Grider. Congregational singing will be led by Rusty Matthews. Burial will follow at Stevenson City Cemetery. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
