Sadie Irene Dunn Hughes Adams, 88 of Stevenson, AL, died February 21, 2014. Sadie was the daughter of the late Van Joseph and Annie Laura Owens Dunn born May 22, 1925 in Stevenson, AL. She was a homemaker and attended Stevenson Holiness Church.
Besides her parents, Sadie was preceded in death by her husbands: John Frank Hughes, Jr., and George Adams; daughter Connie Lynn Hughes; siblings: Clarence, Bill, James, Mary, Evelyn and Joyce.
Survivors include her sons: Kenneth (Pat) Hughes, James (Charlene) Hughes all of Stevenson, Clarence (Sheri) Hughes of Flat Rock, AL, Charles (Debra) Hughes of Stevenson; 9 grandchildren; 20 Great-Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great-Grandson; brothers: Aubrey Dunn of Bridgeport, AL, Vernon Dunn of Flat Rock, AL; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Saturday, 2-9 PM at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral service will be Sunday, February 23, at 2 PM at the funeral home chapel officiated by Bro. James Johnson. Interment will be in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens in Hollywood, AL. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com.
