Sammy Lee Kirk, 59 of Stevenson, AL, died at his home after a brief fight with cancer. He was an over-the-road truck driver and was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Kirk was preceded in death by his parents Samuel Lee "S.L." and Charlsie Jane Davis Kirk.
He is survived by his wife Carol Allen Kirk; children Gabe Kirk and Jenna Kirk; brother Ricky (Bonnie) Kirk; sister Pat (David) Gray; Uncle and Aunt Lester and Nina Davis all of Stevenson; special nieces and nephews: Stan and Amy Allen, Paul and Virginia Allen, Michelle and Jason Spradley, John and Shannon Sampson, Brandon Gray,and Chris Gray; a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 5-9 PM CST at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral will be Wednesday, January 21, at 2 PM CST at the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Howard McCallie, Dr. Jim Thomas, and Rev. Dustin Henshaw. Interment will be at Allen Cemetery in Stevenson, AL.
