Samuel Lewis Blevins' Obituary
Samuel Lewis Blevins, 78 of Hollywood, AL, passed away August 7, 2018 at his home. Samuel was the son of the late Sam and Mable Ballard Blevins born October 1, 1939 in Stevenson, AL. Lewis was a Stevenson High School Graduate Class of 1959 and served in the U.S. Navy. He married Shirley Rorex May 23, 1970 and had worked in shipping at Revere.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Charles Blevins and Louise Blevins Bass.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years Shirley Rorex Blevins; son Sam Blevins; siblings: Luther Blevins of Alameda, CA, Mary Wilborn of Stevenson, AL, Thelma Mann of Hazel Green, AL; and numerous other family members.
Visitation will be Thursday 4-8 PM at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The Funeral Service will be 11 AM Friday, August 10, in the funeral home chapel officiated by Bro. Joey Guess. Interment will be in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens in Hollywood, AL. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
