Sherrie "Sherrie" Moreland (Rich)'s Obituary
Sherrir A. Moreland 69 of Scottsboro died Wednesday April 8, in a Birmingham Al. Hospital following a extended illness.
Sherrie was retired from Goosepond where she was the campground and Pro-Shop manager for many years. Sherrie was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Scottsboro, Al.
Mrs. Moreland is survived by her husband Larry Moreland of Scottsboro. Two sons Judley and his wife Rosemary Glass of Scottsboro and John Glass of Christiansburg, Va. Two Step Daughters Leslie Scannell and Debbie Morris both of Alexandria, Va. Three Grandchildren and One Great Grandchild. Two sisters Junita Pope of Birmingham, Al. and Ireta Bowman of Pell City, Al. and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbeares will be Brian and Bruce Yarbough, Rodney Bell, Jim Boatner, Glenn Earl Thomas and Don Smith.
The family will receive friend Friday April 10, at Rudder Funeral Home in Scottsboro from 5 PM until 9 PM. The Funeral will be Saturday April 11, at the First Baptist Church in Scottsboro at 2 pm with Dr. David Joyner officiating burial will follow in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens. The body will lie-in-state at the Church 1 pm
until 2 pm.
The family suggest that memorial be made to the Frist Baptist Church of Scottsboro in lieu of flowers. Rudder Funeral Home Scottsboro is in charge of the arrangements.
