Shirley Diane Scott Guess, 63 of Stevenson, AL, passed away August 10, 2012 at her home. Shirley was born August 18, 1948 in Alliance, OH. She was raised by her mother and step-father Joseph Howell and Mable Marie Myers Guess. Shirley was a graduate of Stevenson High School and a member of Stevenson Church of God.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Gary Guess, Ronnie Scott, Sheila Stewart and grandson Kevin Wilson.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years Phillip Ray Guess; children Kathleen (Timmy) Gilley, Phillip (Linda) Guess, Joel (Susie) Guess all of Stevenson; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings: Larry Guess of Birmingham, AL, Craig Guess of Stevenson, and Betty O'Conner of Alliance, OH; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Saturday 5-9 PM, Sunday 2-9 PM at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral service will be Monday, August 13, at 11 AM at the funeral home chapel officiated by Bro. Bud Guess and Bro. Tommy Wilson. Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Bridgeport, AL. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com.
