Shirley Joyce Coffman Patalas, 74 of Stevenson, AL, died February 28, 2017 at Parkridge Main Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. Shirley was the daughter of the late Charles David and Smantha Mae Day Coffman born March 20, 1942 in Stevenson, AL. She was a Stevenson High School Graduate Class of 1960 and a member of First United Methodist Church. Shirley had worked as a supervisor at H. D. Lee and also at McQuay.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Edward Patalas; sons Steven and Kevin; 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
Survivors include her daughter Teresa (Scott) Lakey of Jasper, TN; grandchildren: Jessica (Lane) Burleson of Rainsville, AL, Jordan Patalas of Stevenson; special great-granddaughter Emilie Leathers; sister Louise (Tom) Kennedy of Stevenson.
Visitation will be Thursday 3-8 PM CT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson. The Funeral Service will be Friday, March 3, at 1 PM CT officiated by Rev. Danny Lee and Rev. Bill Stone. Interment will be in Longacre Cemetery in Stevenson. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
