Sue Hembree Haggard's Obituary
Sue Hembree Haggard, 80 of Bryant, AL, died October 23, 2018 in Portland, TN at the home of her daughter. Ida Sue was the daughter of the late John B. Gordon and Kathleen Lasater Hembree born September 25, 1938 in Long Island, Alabama. She was a Bridgeport High School Graduate Class of 1957. Sue had worked at Sprague Electric in Longwood, FL as an electronics silicone combiner and was a member of the Bridgeport Order of Eastern Star and Long Island Baptist Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald Ray Haggard, daughter Sue Ellen Umberger, and sister Ann Hembree Millard.
Survivors include her daughter Cathy Cope of Portland, TN; brothers: John B. (Betty) Hembree of Lexington, KY, Sam (Dee) Hembee of West Palm Beach, FL, Bill Hembree of Jacksonville, FL, Ike (Gayle) Hembree, Rock Hill, SC; grandchildren: Megan Cope of Hendersonville, TN, Zachary (Rachel) Donaldson of Richland Hills, TX and SSG Christopher Cope of Ft. Campbell, TN; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Friday, November 2, 5-9 PM and Saturday 11 AM-1 PM at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The Funeral Service will be Saturday, November 3, at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel officiated by Bro. Paul Hembree and Bro. Kevin Millard. Interment will be in Harris Chapel Cemetery in Bryant, AL.
