Thomas Henry Traylor, Jr., 81 of Stevenson, Alabama, died November 29, 2011 at Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Thomas was the son of the late Thomas Henry and Clara Lee Bosarge Traylor, Sr. born December 28, 1929 in Bayou La Batre, Alabama. He was a retired insulator with TVA Widows Creek Steam Plant, a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran and 50-Year Pin recipient of the Bolivar Masonic Lodge.
Besides his parents, Mr. Traylor was preceded in death by hiis wife of 54 years Elizabeth Eugenia "Bettye" Traylor and brother Donald Traylor.
Survivors include his children: Steve (Barbara) Traylor of Ider, AL, Barbara (Brian) Brown of Mobile, AL, Judy ( Eddie) Daniel of Stevenson, AL and Rebecca (Chad) Giles of Flat Rock, AL; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother Glen Traylor of Coden, AL.
The funeral service will be at Serenity Funeral Home in Irvington, AL. Interment will be in the St. Michael's Cemetery in Bayou La Batre, AL. Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL assisted the family in handling arrangements. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com.
