Thomas James Wilson, 56 of Bridgeport, AL died February 1, 2009 at Grandview Medical Center in Jasper, TN. He worked as a night security officer for the City of Bridgeport.
He was preceded in death by his father Charles Robert Wilson; brother Johnny Avans; sister Carol Avans; nieces, nephews: Amanda Pilgrim, Ray Avans, Jr., Summer Avans, Renne Phillips; 2 great-nieces and 1 great-nephew.
He is survived by mother Marie Annette Knott Avans; wife Barbara Lorraine Cooper Wilson; step-children: Stephanie (Wayne) Hartman, Starnetta Steele, Don "Bubba" (Angela) Steele, Jr., Jacob Matthew Steele all of Bridgeport, AL; 7 step-grandchildren; brother Ray Avans of Bridgeport, sister Karen (Danny) Phillips of Stevenson, AL.
Visitation will be Monday 5-9 PM CST at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The funeral will be Tuesday, February 3, at 2 PM CST at the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Joseph Cooper followed by interment at St. Bonnie Venture Cemetery in Bridgeport.
