Timothy Eugene Rudder, 62 of Bridgeport, AL, died February 1, 2012 at Grandview Medical Center in Jasper, TN. Tim was the son of the late Hugh Eugene and Cordelia "Boye" Timberlake Rudder born March 5, 1949 in Stevenson, AL. Tim was a Bridgeport High School Graduate Class of 1966. He was currently doing contract work for Day and Zimmerman Contractors. He retired from TVA as Material Analyst at Sequoia Nuclear Plant. He also worked at TVA Widows Creek and Bellefonte Plants and C.E.P. Paving. Tim was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Bridgeport.
Mr. Rudder was preceded in death by his father Hugh Eugene "Gene" Rudder; step-father Carl Edward Peters; and son Chad Rudder.
Survivors include his mother Cordelia "Boye" Timberlake Peters; wife of 42 years Connie Rene' Frank Rudder; children: Shawn Rudder of Bridgeport, Josh (Beth) Rudder of Sewanee, TN, Gena Rudder of Bridgeport; grandchildren: Preston and Jaxon Rudder; sisters: Mary Jo Hackworth and Suzie Smith both of Bridgeport; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Thursday 5-9 PM CT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral service will be Friday, February 3, at 2 PM CT at the funeral home chapel officiated by Bro. Danny Rader and Bro. Randy Smith. Interment will be at the Stevenson City Cemetery. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
