Valerie Mary Daldry Heckel, 90 of Bridgeport, AL formally from New Orleans, LA, passed away June 29, 2015 at her home. Valerie is the daughter of the late Leonard and Florance Daldry born February 26, 1925 in North Hamptonshire, England. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Jacob George Heckel; son Michael Gararda Heckel; granddaughter Kristi Marie Segari.
Survivors include her daughters: Therese (Jaques) Xech, Sheila Shelton, Catherine (Wade) Smith, Mary (Arthur) Hicks, Debbie Garner, Gerri Heckel, Joanne Heckle; sons: Timothy Heckel, Mark Heckel; 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Margaret Pyne of Dartford, England, Monica Wilding of Swaffham, England; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 2, 5-8 PM CDT and Friday, July 3, 1-2:30 PM at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The funeral service will be Friday, July 3, at 3 PM CDT at Lady of Our Lourdes Church in South Pittsburg, TN officiated by Father Mark Scholz.
