Vickie Arnez Pendergrass Simmons, 50 of Stevenson, AL, died December 7, 2010 at Highlands Medical Center in Scottsboro, AL.
Vickie is the daughter of the late Billy Gene and Lula Idabell "Petetom" Garner Pendergrass born November 21, 1960 in Sewanee, TN. She grew up in Sherwood, TN.
Besides her parents, Vickie was preceded in death by herhusband George Dee Simmons; nephew Ricco Johnson.
Survivors include: special friend and companion John Anderson of Stevenson, AL; brothers: Raymond Earl Pendergrass of Bridgeport, AL, Ronnie (Tammy Jo) Pendergrass of Stevenson, AL; nieces: Charlene Pendergrass and Constance Pendergrass; uncle Leon (Peggy) Pendergrass of Chattanooga, TN and aunt Patsy Ruth Massengill of Sherwood, TN.
Visitation will begin Thursday at 11 AM CT at the Sherwood Church of Christ. The funeral service will be Friday at 2 PM CT at the church. Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery. Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL is assisting the family. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com.
