Victor Leroy "Dasher" Blevins, Sr., 64 of Bridgeport, AL, died July 25, 2010 at his home. Victor was the son of the late William Thomas and Louise Gordon Rudder Blevins, Jr. born October 28, 1945 in Chattanooga, TN. He was a carpet mill utility worker. He was an avid Alabama Fan. "Dasher" loved his children, his whole family and loved life.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Victor Leroy Blevins, Jr. and uncle Johnny Walker.
Survivors include: children Kayla (Michael) Garrard of Stevenson, AL, William (Marianne) Blevins of Montgomery, AL; grandchildren: Christopher (Laleigh) Woodruff of Enterprise, AL, Brittany Woodruff of Huntsville, AL, Dylan Garrard and Mattison Glass both of Stevenson; great-grandchildren: Anabella Adams and Braiden Woodruff; brother Thomas (Brenda) Blevins of Madison, AL; sister Donna (Pete) Coffman of South Pittsburg, TN; special aunt Ann Walker of Bridgeport, AL; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be 1-9 PM Tuesday at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral service will be 2 PM Wednesday, July 28, at the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Dustin Henshaw and Rev. Jeff Pike. The graveside service will be held Friday at 11 AM at the Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens in Montgomery, AL. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com.
