Wallace Foster Rudder, 68 of Stevenson, AL, died March 15, 2011 at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, TN.
Wallace was the son of the late Robert D. and Effie Inez Huddleston Rudder born June 8, 1942 in Stevenson, AL. He was a graduate of Stevenson High School Class of 1960. He owned the Rudder's Market in South Pittsburg, TN. Mr. Rudder was in the National Guard and a member of Edgefield Union Church.
Survivors include: his wife of 37 years Bettye Jean Richards Rudder; children: John R. (Susan) Rudder, Jill (William) Selby and Scott (Christy) Nunley; grandchildren: Allie Hale, Seth and Taylor Selby, Ryan and Riley Nunley, Joshua and Noah Rudder; sister Lynn Huber all of Stevenson, AL.
Visitation will be Wednesday 5-9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral will be Thursday, March 17, at 11 AM at the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Bill Stone and Rev. Gary Tubb. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
