Mr. William Herbert "W.H." Lusk, Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. William Herbert (W.H.) Lusk, Sr., age 87 of Scottsboro, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2016. Mr. Lusk was born on January 28, 1929 in Jackson County.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Rudder Funeral Home in Scottsboro. Visitation will be from 12 noon – 3 PM with the funeral service immediately following at 3 PM. Rev. Rick Liner will officiate and burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Lusk is survived by his wife of 65 years, Faye Evans Lusk; three sons, William H. Lusk, Jr., Rick Lusk and wife Nancy, Thomas Lusk and wife, Lisa, all of Scottsboro; two daughters, Annette Lusk Butler and Rachel M. Lusk, both of Huntsville; one granddaughter, Brittany and husband Josh Puckett; three grandsons, Kevin and wife Ginny, James and wife Shannon, Andrew and wife Alisha; six great-granddaughters, Ava Kate, Everly, and Abigail Lusk, Susanna Mae Puckett, and Jada and Jessalyn Rose; one great-grandson, William Henry Lusk; one brother, Newtie Lusk; four sisters, Vada Pickett, Reva Holt, Mavis Miller, and Wilma George; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Herbert and Don (Proctor) Lusk; three sisters, Mary Lou Bellomy, Erlene Bohannon, and Mildred Bryant; one granddaughter, Jennifer Butler, and one great-grandson, Jaden Rose.
Mr. Lusk was a native of Jackson County. He was a member of Holland’s Chapel United Methodist Church where he taught the men’s Sunday school class. He was also a member of Walter Bogart Masonic Lodge in Hollywood as well as a Shriner. He made over 100 trips to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospitals.
