William Cecil Sartin Sr's Obituary
Mr. William Cecil Sartin, Sr. passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at Highlands Medical Center in Scottsboro, he was 89 years old. Mr. Sartin was a member of the Stevenson Volunteer Fire Department for 50 years and was also a member of Rudder’s Chapel Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Hady Sartin; children, Cecil (Shannon) Sartin, Jr., Roger (Rita) Sartin, Sharon Hughes; stepchildren, Larry Brinkley, Rita Maynor, Steve (Carrie) Brinkley; sisters, Vada Rich, Hazel (Red) Carlton, Geraldine (Jerry Wayne) Phillips, Mary Vanallman; 8 grandchildren and 20 greatgrandchildren, 8 step grandchildren and 19 step great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceded in death by: parents, Claude and Dorothy Sartin; brothers, Paul, Alvis, Calvin, Kenneth, Bobby, and infant brother, Gerald; sister, Izella Lanford.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 5-8:00PM at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, January, 18, 2026 beginning at 1:50PM with Bro. Frank Young officiating and burial to follow in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens.
