William Harold "Willie" Freeman, 85 of Bridgeport, AL, died December 9, 2011 at Cumberland Health and Rehabilitation in Bridgeport. William was the son of the late Coax and Martha Jane Rimmel Freeman born February 21, 1926 in Arkadelphia, AL. Willie was a WWII U. S. Army Veteran serving from Aug 1944 to July 4, 1946; taught Vocational Agriculture over 40 years retiring from Bridgeport High School and was a member of First Baptist Church in Bridgeport.
Besides his parents, Willie was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years Essie Faye Hinkle Freeman and brother Robert Freeman.
Survivors include his children: Jeanette Burnett, David H. (Debbie) Freeman and Mia Wise all of Bridgeport; grandchildren: James "Jamie" (Heather) Burnette, Kimberly (Tony) Coffman, Jennifer Johnson, Kelly Freeman, Jeanna (Mike) Guess; nine great-grandchildren ;a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday 5-9 PM CT at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The funeral service will be Monday, December 12, at 2 PM CT at the funeral home chapel officiated by Dr. David Smith, Joe David Moore and David Smith.
