Yvonne Merritt, 69 formerly of Bridgeport, AL, died March 26, 2011 at NHC Sequatchie in Dunlap, TN.
Yvonne was the daughter of the late Thomas Franklin and Molly Westmoreland Merritt, Sr. born January 12, 1942 in Jacksonville, FL. She had worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant at North Jackson Nursing Home. Yvonne was a member of First Baptist Church in Bridgeport, AL.
Survivors include: son Larry (Lisa) Pylant of Bridgeport, AL; grandchildren: Jimmy Coffman, Crystal Ake Olinger, Mackenzie, Blake and Robert Pylant; several great-grandchildren; brother Horace (Karen) Merritt of Whitwell, TN.
Besides her parents, Yvonne was preceded in death by her son Wondall Ake, Sr., grandsons: Wondall Ake, Jr. and Brian Pylant; brother Thomas Merritt, Jr.
Visitation will be Monday 5-9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The funeral will be Tuesday, March 29, at 2 PM at the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Jim Bernard. Interment will be in the Bolivar Cemetery in Bridgeport, AL. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
