Mr. Matthews taught me in sixth grade math. He was one of the coolest teachers I ever had....saw him at the 07 reunion and he recognized me immediately.....hope that was a good thing! :) He had a wonderful sense of humor and will be missed greatly by all he taught. One of the greats. RIP, Mr. Matthews, we love you. xoxoxo
Mr. Mathews was a fine man and hate to hear about him passing. He was such a role model and inspiration to so many people. Mr. Mathews is what education is all about and how he touched so many lives. He will be dearly missed. Michael McCarver
Mr. Matthews was my sixth grade teacher and he was a very nice and caring man until I acted up in school and got in trouble LOL. I am very sorry to hear of his passing and my prayers are with his friends and family. Sincerely-Rachel (Kirk) McDonald
