Mr. Roy Dean Venable's Obituary
Mr. Roy Dean Venable 83 of Stevenson, Al. passed away of Saturday January 31, 2026 at Highlands Medical Center in Scottsboro, Alabama. Roy was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and brother, whose life was defined by faith, service, and generosity. As a minister, he preached countless weddings and funerals, walking with families through both their most joyful beginnings and their most difficult goodbyes. His words were steady, and sincere, and his presence brought comfort to many over the years. A talented carpenter and tireless worker he took great pride in building things with his hands and caring for those around him. He would have given the shirt off his back to anyone in need, never hesitating to help when someone asked. One of his greatest joys was his family, and he shared his faith with them in the most meaningful way, by baptizing all three of his grandchildren. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched, the faith he shared and the love he poured so freely into his family and community.
